Join the Quarter Block Party team and be involved as Production Assistant supporting QBP curator Eszter Nemethi and artist Rhona Byrne in the delivery of Public! a three-day workshop in partnership with CIT Crawford College of Art and Design delivered as part of this year’s festival
This 3-day workshop explores the area of North and South Main Street looking at public art and the potential and possibilities that present themselves through cross-disciplinary approach and collaboration. The workshop will invite peer-learning through exploring the different possible approaches to public space and the specific spatial, socio-economic and historic landscape of the area through a thorough look at what public art might mean in this context.
Over three days the participants will collaborate under the mentorship of artist Rhona Byrne through practical workshops, walks, discussions and exploration of artistic possibilities and responses resulting in a final event on Sunday as part of the festival.
The position will suit someone with an interest in urban interventions and producing public art projects.
