Quarter Block Party in partnership with the CIT Crawford College of Art and Design are delighted to present this which explores the potential of cross-disciplinary working in a public environment. This 3-day workshop explores the area of North and South Main Street looking at public art and the potential and possibilities that present themselves through cross-disciplinary approach and collaboration. The workshop will invite peer-learning through exploring the different possible approaches to public space and the specific spatial, socio-economic and historic landscape of the area through a thorough look at what public art might mean in this context. Over three days the participants will collaborate under the mentorship of artist Rhona Byrne through practical workshops, walks, discussions and exploration of artistic possibilities and responses resulting in a final event on Sunday as part of the Quarter Block Party festival.

Quarter Block Party fans from the last two years will know the weekend as a daring and exhilarating weekend filled with a selection the freshest in high calibre artists in music and art.
