Presented by Quarter Block Party live at Triskel Christchurch, SLUMBER is a special midnight exhibit of a group talented artists who as individuals are pushing the boundaries of their own genres and practices. Collectively they will be celebrating the passing from darkness into light, the awakening from the stupor of the long winter transforming into the festive freshness of a buoyant spring.

Since the release of his debut album ‘Small Moments’ through to his upcoming record ‘Yous” released this March, David Kitt has remained groundbreaking throughout his career. Soon to be eight solo releases deep, this doesn’t count the work on his house and techno project New Jackson or indeed any of his collaborations and production work with Tindersticks, Lisa O’Neill and David Gray. Following the release of the ‘Still Don’t Know’ Extended Player – David joins the line-up of SLUMBER trying out something different – focusing on new electronic work, new arrangements as well as new material from the aforementioned ‘Yous’.

Michigan-born dancer, musician, and dance researcher Nic Gareiss has been described by the Irish Times as “the human epitome of the unbearable lightness of being,” and “the most inventive and expressive step dancer on the scene” by the Boston Herald. His work re-imagines movement as a musical practice, recasting dance as medium that appeals to both eyes and ears. Gareiss draws from many percussive dance traditions to weave together a dance technique facilitating his love of improvisation, traditional footwork vocabulary, and musical collaboration.

Anna-Mieke is a singer, cellist, guitarist and songwriter from Newtownmountkennedy in Wicklow. She grew up playing the piano and singing, and started writing songs in her twenties. Employing unconventional vocal harmonies and instrumentation, often collaborating with other musicians, and drawing influence from blues, folk and traditional music.
